Solution of Heat Dilatation

The heat dilation of the pipeline may be solved in several methods:

1) Through the use of compensating bodies L, Z, U
2) Heat tensioning of the pipeline
3) Compensation with the use of axial compensators

On the straight pipeline at the distance ti, there exist the so-called "virtual" fixed points – positions in that the pipeline does not move as a result of temperature change under the same initial conditions (the same burial depth, friction force, ...). In an ideal case, at fulfilment of given prerequisites, this point is placed in the middle.

For distance calculation of the "virtual" fixed point:
